A Jewish Weekend For Multiracial Families

Friday, September 17, through Sunday, September 19, 2004
Explore and celebrate the cultural richness inherent in a multiracial family. Create and enjoy an atmosphere of inclusiveness within the Jewish community. Take advantage of everything Tawonga has to offer: swimming, hiking, singing, Shabbat study and great food, the ropes course, campfires, family talent show and much more. Whether you are part of an multiracial family or see one in your future, all are welcome.
We are especially excited that Mosaic falls between the High Holy Days this year. We'll learn about some of the special traditions of this time, and prepare for Yom Kippur together as a community.
Highlights include:
- Celebrating Shabbat in Nature
- Discussion with a panel of young adults raised in multiracial Jewish Families
- Song filled Torah Service
- Workshops on parenting, adoption and diverse family experiences
- Having adventures on the Tawonga ropes course
- Great meals and amazing late night snacks
- Campfire singalongs with guitars, drums and your beautiful voices!
Registration is currently open for Mosaic Family Camp. Financial assistance is available if apply early. Call us for more information at (415)543-2267.
