Tawonga weekend programs reflect and serve the diverse Jewish community.
Camp Tawonga offers three categories of teen programs, for teens entering 7th - 12th grades.
1. Teen
Service Learning
This year, join other teens and great Tawonga leaders for 4 weeks
in Israel, working with local communities on important projects,
learning about important global issues with local leaders, and
touring holy sites. From the Galilee to Jerusalem to Tel Aviv
to the Negev, this is a trip not to be missed. Click
here to learn more and download an application.
2. "In
Training" programs
Do you want to give younger campers the same wonderful experiences
that your counselors made for you? Do you have a special talent
- music, art, drama, or something else - that you want to take
to the next level? Do you love outdoor leadership? One of our
"IT" programs may be right for you.

Adventure Quests
Quests
are like summer camp on wheels!
Tawonga Quests
are independent camps on wheels - 12 boys and girls and 2 Tawonga
leaders head out for adventures on the road...in the most scenic
places on earth!
A Quest is
an excellent opportunity to have lots of new adventures, become
more independent, and make lifelong friends. Each of the different
trips combines backpacking, car camping, water activities like
kayaking and rafting, and cultural events like plays and art workshops.
Everyone on a Quest works together to:
Set up
campsites, tents and kitchens
Cook and
clean up after meals
Solve the
personal issues that arise when new friends travel together!
Quests are
fun and exciting and can be more challenging than summer camp.
Most are more physically engaging, and require a higher level
of maturity, cooperation and responsibility. River rafting, sea
kayaking, and rock climbing experiences are provided by independent
outfitters who require their own release and consent forms.experiences
