Scholarship opportunity for high school seniors
Monday October 18 is the deadline for submissions for the The Association of Jewish Center Professionals (AJCP) Scholarship Program conducted in cooperation with the Jewish Funeral Directors of America (JFDA). The JDFA is funding six $500 college incentive scholarships to be awarded to fall of 2005 high school seniors who are planning to start college in the fall of 2006.
Students must submit an essay of no more than 500 words on 'How I Would Work to Build a Stronger Jewish Community'. Entries will be judged based on originality, creativity and personal commitment. Winners will be announced in December of 2005.
All essays are to be typed double spaced and sent to the Association of Jewish Center Professionals, 15 East 26th Street, New York, NY 10010 or can be e-mailed to hrosenzweig@jcca.org. In order for essays to be judged objectively, you are asked not to put your name on the essay itself. On a separate page attached to your essay, please provide your name, address, phone number and e-mail address.
