In 2004, I will be celebrating my 25th summer at Tawonga, with my partner Rabbi Sydney Mintz and our sons Eli and Gabriel. I cherish the opportunities I have to share my love of Judaism, nature, Israel and wilderness adventures. Each year it is an honor to work with wonderful Bay Area rabbis, song leaders and educators to design innovative ways bring Judaism to camp and to train our outstanding counselors and summer staff who model by example in creating an inclusive, caring community.

During my 20 years at Tawonga, I've watched with joy as thousands of campers have blossomed and grown in our loving Jewish environment. It's been my privilege, through the administration of our Financial Assistance Program, to see to it that all children, regardless of family circumstances, can benefit from all that we have to offer. Tawonga has certainly enriched and deepened my own love of nature, of Judaism, and of the community which we serve.
